- June 18, 2024, 8:00 AM-June 19, 2024, 5:00 PM
- Adelaide Convention Centre North Terrace
- Adelaide Convention Centre, 92 North Terrace, Adelaide, South Australia,
EventDescription
Welcome to the Copper to the World Conference, Australia’s largest copper conference where the future of copper shines brighter than ever! Following the remarkable success of the 2023 conference, we are excited to announce that 2024 brings an additional conference day, enhanced networking opportunities, and the introduction of an impressive exhibition floor.
Working in partnership with the South Australian Government, their bold vision seeks to position South Australia as the primary contributor to Australia becoming the world’s third-largest copper producer by 2030, aiming to more than triple South Australia’s copper production to an impressive 1 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
This ambitious goal is underpinned by tangible actions, including the acceleration of exploration, discovery and knowledge-sharing, the development of innovative infrastructure, services, and cutting-edge research, as well as the empowerment of industry and community capabilities.
The South Australian Government’s steadfast commitment to this strategy presents an exceptional opportunity for South Australia to leverage its abundant copper resources, supporting sustainable economic growth and addressing the global demand for this critical metal, indispensable for renewable energy and climate change mitigation.
As we set our sights on major international copper mining organisations including BHP, Rio Tinto, Codelco, Freeport McMoran, and Antamina, we recognise that partnerships with these industry leaders, fortified by the support of the South Australian Government, are pivotal in shaping the future of our industry.
Join us on this important journey as we lead the charge for copper, nurturing connections, driving innovation, and ensuring that copper remains an essential element in a sustainable and interconnected world.
